We were picked up at our hotel in Arugam Bay on time, 15 mins Tuk Tuk ride north of Arugam Bay to get Pottuvil lagoon and the rest is magic. We saw a lots of birds, many crocodiles and a herds of Elephant swimming in the Pottuvil lagoon. Such a wonderful scenery to watch. Took a break at Pottuvil point, served with cold king coconut and watching the surfers at the point. Watch the sunset from our boat on our way back was top notch. Such a wonderful experience in Arugam Bay. On-time pickup and a smooth transfer to Pottuvil Lagoon, which was about 15 minutes away. We had an amazing time at the lagoon watching swimming elephants crossing the lagoon. We also spotted many birds and explored the mangrove forests, which are a habitat for many wildlife species. Hanas was our guide, with excellent English and great enthusiasm for wildlife. After the tour, we drove back to Arugam Bay. Arugambay Agenda is highly recommended for this activity.
A lovely experienced with Kareem who showed us the wildlife in the lagoon and also took us to another location to see crocodiles. Highlight was the elephant crossing from one bank to another through the lagoon.

Just a short 15-minute drive from Arugam Bay and we were exploring beautiful mangroves with Kareem, an amazing guide with great English and excellent local knowledge. We glided through the mangrove forest, spotted herds of elephants and crocodiles, and even enjoyed a fresh tropical watermelon break at Pottuvil Point. We visited Arugam Bay in March and, since it wasn’t great for surfing, we tried the lagoon tour; and it turned out to be the best thing we did! Hanas picked us up on time, super friendly with great English, and the ride was smooth and comfortable. On the way, we made a stop and spotted a lone elephant at Arugam lagoon, near the bridge! The Pottuvil Lagoon is undoubtedly beautiful, and it's a very relaxed tour overall. We enjoyed the boat ride and the nature, though wildlife sightings can be a bit unpredictable depending on the day. We did it at 5:30 in the morning and that was very nice because it was a nice temperture and it was so calm en quiet on the water. Rishi was also a very nice and funny guide! He really had the time for us and could tell us everything about the animals. We had a really nice time!

Nous avons passé 2 excellentes après-midi lors des safaris au lagon de pottuvil et au parc de Kumana. Rishi est adorable, il vous raconte des anecdotes sur les animaux et répond à toutes vos questions. Il fait également en sorte que vous voyez le plus d’animaux possible, nous avons eu la chance de voir 2 léopards, des éléphants, des mangoustes, de nombreux buffles, crocodiles, daims et oiseaux. We did the tour in the morning. It was wonderful to be out in the lagoon at sunrise. We saw elephants and lots of birds and then we drove to a beautiful beach. Hanas is such a friendly and warm guy, he knows an incredible amount about the area, the animals, the culture. We had a great time and on the way back we even made a little detour to see crocodiles. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!
