Hi, I’m Hanas, the heart and soul of Arugambay Agenda. I'm a true native of the East Coast, born and raised among the waves. My mission is simple: to share the magic of my beautiful hometown with the world.
Where did my passion for Sri Lanka travel begin?
Growing up in Arugam Bay, the ocean was my backyard. I spent my childhood listening to the waves and meeting travelers from all over the world. Watching them fall in love with my home sparked a dream. I knew I didn't just want to live here; I wanted to show the world how to experience this paradise properly.
Why did I leave the corporate world?
After finishing my Business degree (BBA) in Marketing, I worked for a major company in Colombo. It was a great job, but the city office couldn't beat the call of the coast. I decided to quit the corporate life and return to my roots. I came home to start Arugambay Agenda—a place where my local heart meets my professional expertise.
How did Italy change my perspective?
To grow even more, I moved to Italy for a Master's in International Tourism and Destination Management. Today, I split my time between Italy and Sri Lanka. This global connection lets me mix local secrets with world-class standards. I bridge the gap between "local life" and the high quality that international travelers expect.
